FACELESS
A bold series of faceless portraits that strip away identity to reveal the deeper essence, inviting viewers to project their own stories and emotions into each striking, textured piece.
Contemporary portraits that elevate interiors
You want your home to feel like you. Not a showroom. Not a catalogue. Something that reflects the depth and complexity of the person who actually lives there.

The Faceless series does that. Rich texture, quiet tension, portraits that invite you to feel something rather than just look at something.

Art that makes your space truly, unmistakably yours.
This series explores how a person’s story, presence and interior life are often far richer than the external features we see. Working with raw linen and heavily textured paint, the portraits are rendered so that the figure is identifiable yet the facial features are minimised.

The result: a quiet tension between recognition and mystery.

The viewer is invited to imagine the subject’s story rather than simply read a face.
The art people can't stop asking about.

ABOUT
the artist
Jeff Schmidt has been immersed in the creative arts for over 35 years. His journey has spanned stage set design, illustration, authorship, visual merchandising for London’s retail scene, urban sketching, art education, and painting. This lifelong exploration has deepened his fascination with people — their stories, nuances, and the invisible layers that make them who they are. Working from his studio in Surrey, UK, Jeff experiments with oil, acrylic, gouache, ink, and watercolour. His latest series, Faceless, marks a distillation of decades of creative inquiry — a deconstruction of portraiture into emotion, texture, and soul.
